A Global Effort to Support Growth
Accomplishments and lessons learned in 2022
Our small but mighty global sales and marketing team work cross functionally to achieve company goals. In 2022, we added a vital leadership position and two additional team members to help the group better support user needs, sales projections and employee satisfaction and retention.
The team accomplished an acquisition product rebrand project, exhibited at several trade shows for each of our industry segments, published fresh, relevant content regularly and engaged in community building both in-person and digitally.

Sales function to work seamlessly with marketing
Configura focused resources in brand awareness and sales in 2022. To support our growth strategy, we brought on Rich Trahey as VP Sales & Marketing. Rich brings a robust sales background as well as material handling industry knowledge—two key skills necessary to Configura’s continued success.
“I have a passion for design and sales excellence, spending my career in leadership roles where we daily optimized those processes,” Trahey said. “CET is a software that puts these worlds together! At Configura, I will be part of a strong culture of innovation and empowerment and I am very excited to help us grow to become the leading global software provider for people who design spaces.”
The marketing team hired two additional people in 2022—one focused on industry marketing and one focused on content development and PR. We also brought along two existing Configurans to allocate some of their time to help support material handling and product content development needs.
FORWARD THINKING
Marketing projects spanned rebranding, trade events, content development and product launch campaigns.
With the acquisition of ProjectMatrix, we added several products to our portfolio. The team put time and effort into rebranding the products under Configura’s umbrella with details as to how each fit within our full ecosystem.
We participated in several trade shows including BIFMA, Manifest, KBIS, MODEX, KCMA, NeoCon, LogiMat and Logis-tech. Configura hosted a hybrid CET Experience event in October with two keynotes, two days of learning sessions, networking events and more.
The team developed, launched and promoted an updated brand book with specifics about the company’s image, approved logos, tone and voice, which is available to view on the website.
Top media placements centered around the launch of Twinmotion, our architectural visualization tool powered by EpicGames’ Unreal Engine and the acquisition and rebranding of ProjectMatrix.

THOUGHT LEADERS
We developed a strategy and plan for expanding our brand reach by sharing industry specific knowledge insights through blogs, social media and other assets. We ended the year with 590 blog subscribers and published 28 original blogs. Topics included user of the month features, a design software ROI series, workplace trends, smart automation and more.
Our overall social media reach grew by 11 percent in 2022. A focus on increasing our LinkedIn followers and growing our professional network helped tip the scale in a positive direction. On LinkedIn alone, we saw a 22.5 percent increase in followers and in October specifically, our posts landed 25K organic impressions and 61 reposts.

For the first time, Configura launched a product marketing campaign focusing on Essential Pallet Racking in CET Material Handling. The campaign encompassed advertising, email nurtures, material handling training webinars, software trials and live demos.
The team championed efforts to uncover trends leading to decisions in the material handling industry through a survey conducted in December 2022 with the support of Dynata. Findings are scheduled for use in 2023 messaging and content planning.
RELATED TO SALES & MARKETING, CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS INFUSED MARKETING TACTICS TO FORWARD SEVERAL CONFIGURA 2025 STRATEGY GOALS
We are continuing efforts to migrate nearly 3,300 users from Configura Software, our legacy platform, to CET specific to their industry by 2025. To date, nearly 70 percent are making the move. The large number of commitments to migration is evidence of our continued capabilities and capacity to support manufacturers via our all-in-one solution for planning and selling spaces with real products. Migration customers represent the commercial interiors and material handling industry and include DeLaval, Hoyez and Spacesaver to name a few.
To better support our customers and partners, our team supported the rebranding of Partner Meeting to Momentum, which also implemented quarterly Pace Checks outside of in-person meetings held annually in North America and Europe.
