Meet Lim Yoong Wah: Principal Developer at Configura

Tell us about yourself, who are you and what’s your role at Configura?

My name is Lim Yoong Wah. I bring over 10 years of experience in software development and currently, I’m working as a Principal Developer at Configura in Kuala Lumpur. My background in cloud-native infrastructure and next-generation software migration enables me to contribute effectively, especially as Configura moves towards modernizing and innovating our product offerings.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and playing console games, which help me unwind and stay inspired.

How has your first time with Configura been so far?

My first time with Configura has been a great experience. The team has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, which made settling in smooth. I’ve enjoyed diving into the projects and getting a better understanding of Configura’s vision and the role I can play in it. It's exciting to be part of a forward-thinking company, especially as we work on modernizing and evolving our software to meet future demands. I’m already feeling challenged and motivated, and I’m looking forward to contributing even more as I continue to learn and grow with the team.

What are you most excited about as you move forward in your role?

I'm most excited about the opportunity to contribute to Configura's journey towards modernization and innovation. Working on transforming legacy systems into cloud-native, scalable solutions is both challenging and rewarding, and it’s a field I’m passionate about. I'm also looking forward to collaborating with talented colleagues, sharing insights, and exploring new technologies to enhance our architecture. The potential to make a lasting impact on the company’s future products and seeing those ideas come to life is really motivating, and I can’t wait to dive even deeper into this work!

If you could have dinner with any fictional character, who would it be and why?

If I could have dinner with any fictional character, it would be Captain Jack Sparrow. He's funny, unpredictable, and always has an interesting story to tell. I'd love to hear about his adventures on the high seas and how he gets out of tricky situations. His sense of humor would make the dinner fun, and you never know what he's going to say next. It would be a night full of surprises and laughter.
