HOW LINDSEY SHEPHERD AT FULL CIRCLE USES CET TO BOOST REP-DESIGNER COLLABORATION
In a recent appearance on The Design POP with Alexandra Tseffos, Lindsey Shepherd, owner of Full Circle, discussed how reps and designers collaborate and how CET is an essential 'language' for demonstrating products. To dive deeper into this topic, we caught up with her to explore her use of CET and how it enhances her role at Full Circle. Listen to the full episode here.Q: COULD YOU SHARE A BIT ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND AND ROLE AT FULL CIRCLE?
A: As the owner of Full Circle, a leading multiline rep group, my background in interior design has profoundly influenced our approach. We seamlessly blend design expertise with sales acumen to create "Full Circle Projects," where we integrate products into cohesive and innovative designs.
Q: WHAT MAKES FULL CIRCLE STAND OUT IN THE INDUSTRY?
A: Full Circle distinguishes itself through its blend of design expertise and strong industry connections. Although we don’t explicitly advertise design services, our design background allows us to offer unique input and integrate products from various manufacturers. We manage projects from design to execution, utilizing CET to streamline the workflow. We assist dealers with design work and create detailed renderings, and often, they order everything exactly as rendered—an ideal scenario for us.
Q: HOW DID YOU FIRST LEARN ABOUT CET?
A: I was introduced to CET about five or six years ago through a training program. Recognizing its potential, I brought someone on board to utilize CET in-house. The results were swift and impactful, showcasing its value in revolutionizing our workflow and enhancing our interactions with dealers.
Q: HOW DOES CET IMPROVE YOUR WORK COMPARED TO OLDER TOOLS?
A: CET provides clear, photorealistic renderings, which eliminate confusion and help clients visualize the final result. It’s far more effective than older methods that rely on verbal descriptions and static images. CET is particularly crucial for complex products, allowing us to manage intricate configurations and ensure all components are correct, reducing errors and streamlining the process. For instance, Stylex has a product called Free Address, which I love for its versatility, but it would have been challenging to showcase and specify without CET. Free Address is one of our top-selling products, and we wouldn't have achieved this without CET.
Q: WHAT ADVANTAGE DOES CET GIVE YOU IN THE INDUSTRY?
A: CET provides a significant edge by enhancing accuracy and efficiency. Early adoption has helped us build stronger relationships with designers and dealers, setting us apart from competitors. All of our dealers have switched to using CET as their main program, and now we’re all sharing files. This has become our primary mode of communication. My factories now request CET files when they receive a PO.
Q: WHAT’S YOUR ADVICE FOR OTHERS CONSIDERING CET?
A: Embrace it. CET enhances design accuracy and efficiency, making it an invaluable tool for both reps and designers. It’s truly a game-changer for the industry.
