Release Notes - CET Designer® 2.5.2

Solved issues

Calculation

  • When editing adjustments for groups, the discount value would not be automatically updated and users had to click the Refresh button in order for the update to take place. This has now been fixed.

  • When editing discount values by double-clicking on the field, CET Designer now automatically selects all numbers in the field for you. This fix also corrects the problem where inputing numbers after selecting everything in the discount field would not remove the selected numbers first.

  • If the user level had not been set to Expert, CET Designer could sometimes crash when opening the View Settings dialog box on an article view tab. This issue has now been fixed.

  • The Filter tab for the Main View in the Calculation now displays information about why the tab is empty.

ProjectSymbols

  • The handling of ProjectSymbols objects has been improved. When CET Designer detects a corrupt model it will now leave out the corrupt parts of the model to avoid risking a crash. However, this sometimes has the side effect that corrupt models appear to have holes in them (i.e. the corrupt polygons have been left out).

  • Fixed issue with ProjectSymbols pick list that could cause a crash.

  • Fixed issue with Sif export in ProjectSymbols that could lead to a crash.

Printing

  • Should an error occur while creating a PDF file, CET Designer now displays information about what went wrong. This fix also includes an improved handling of how CET Designer recovers from a situation like this.

  • When running CET Designer with the advanced graphics engine, different zoom settings (Close, Medium or Distant) were not properly respected when printing a Perspective. This problem has now been fixed.

  • When running CET Designer with the simple graphics engine, making a print preview of a Perspective could sometimes cause a crash. This issue has now been resolved.

Walls

  • Stretching an architectural wall with an opening in it to change its width could on rare occasions cause a crash. This problem has now been fixed.

  • Openings on the Wall drawing tab (doors, windows, vaults etc.) now have a maximum height of 8 meters (26'2.96''), a value that was previously unlimited.

Dwg drawings

  • There has been some issues with dwg objects created in DDS-CAD being imported into CET Designer with incorrect scale. This has now been resolved.

  • Fixed problem with certain dwg lines not being properly displayed in locked Viewports in Paper view.

  • Fixed problem with dwg arcs that have the same start and end angle values. These should no longer show up on import.

  • Fixed issue with dwg drawings containing 3D proxy objects that could cause a crash when creating alternatives or copying the dwg object.

  • CET Designer now properly respects objects flagged as invisible, and they will no longer be visible on import.

Miscellaneous

  • Locked components were under some specific circumstances still able to be rotated or moved but should now behave correctly.

  • Fixed issue with changing materials that could lead to a crash.

  • Fixed a loading issue that could cause a crash on certain drawings.

  • Spotlights now have maximum values set for their X, Y and Z coordinates. They were previously infinite which could cause a crash.

  • Certain drawings have displayed issues when a panorama background is loaded. This has now been fixed.

  • Fixed problem with rebuilding language database that could cause CET Designer to become unresponsive.

  • Fixed problem that cause Customer Own Materials (COM:s) to show up as plain white when loading drawing.

  • Fixed problem with freestanding monitor that would cause it to become "detached" from its selection frame in 2D when rotating it after changing the scale.

  • Fixed problem with the freestanding monitor and the ceiling lamp from the Office accessories tab that could cause them to be pasted to the wrong elevation during copy/paste.

  • CET Designer should now remove .cmlast files alongside the usual files when asked to delete old backup files, which was previously not the case.
